SCACPA student membership dues are a mere $50/year. You have two options:

Are you on the path to CPA? SCACPA wants to help you along your journey! Earn SCACPA Educational Fund scholarships to help with your tuition costs!
If you are a junior, senior, or graduate student majoring in accounting at a South Carolina school, you may be eligible starting in December! Scholarship amounts usually range from $500 to $2,500. The number to be awarded each year depends upon the qualifications of the applicants and available funds. If you have scholarship questions, please email membership@scacpa.org.

CPA Exam
Obtaining your CPA license can open the door to more promotions, and managerial opportunities. On average CPAs make 15% more in salary than an Accounting graduate. CPA is the gold standard among accounting professionals, and highly desired by employers. There is a tremendous demand for accounting, tax, and assurance services. Technology has made it easier to perform all the traditional accounting service and enabled all sorts of new, more valuable and more interesting new services. Candidates will be required to pass all three core sections and one discipline on the CPA Exam.
Taking the Exam
- 120 Credit Hours to sit for the exam
- 24 semester credit hours of accounting courses
- 24 semester credit hours of business courses
Getting Licensed
- 150 total semester hours
- Pass the Uniform CPA Examination
- One year of work experience
- Good moral character
