We’re looking for the next Deputy Director of Tax Policy Services! This is an executive-level leadership role where you can have a direct impact on our state.
Our tax policy team makes sure South Carolina’s revenue laws are applied consistently and fairly.
As Deputy Director, you’ll lead this team in:
- Researching and publishing guidance on complex policies.
- Explaining tax laws at meetings, seminars, and conferences.
- Recommending legislative changes that will improve compliance.
You’ll also advise the Director of the SCDOR on policy matters and work with other executive leaders to set strategic plans for our agency.
Strong candidates will have:
- A JD or CPA credentials with good writing skills.
- The ability to manage a high-performing team.
- A deep understanding of state and federal tax laws.
