SCACPA continues its steadfast commitment to fostering the next generation of Certified Public Accountants. In alignment with its objective to propel promising students into the CPA profession, the SCACPA Educational Fund has awarded a substantial sum in scholarships to students across South Carolina higher institutions this year.
For the 2024-25 academic year, the SCACPA Educational Fund Trustees are proud to announce that a grand total of $88,000 has been awarded to 50 standout Student Members. These recipients hail from 12 different colleges and universities.
Scholarships, ranging from $500 to $2,500, have been awarded to students in their junior or senior years with a major in accounting. The association has also extended its support to those pursuing a master’s degree in the discipline.
This notable gesture signifies SCACPA’s commitment to academic excellence and its dedication to bolstering the accounting profession in South Carolina.
To celebrate the scholarship recipients’ achievements and acknowledge the donors’ generosity, the annual SCACPA 2024 Student Recognition Luncheon will take place Friday, November 15, 2024, at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center in conjunction with the Fall Fest Accounting Conference.
Thank you to the Educational Fund Trustees: Chair Luann Hundley, James Barnes, Clint Bates, Meredith Lantz, Wendy Redmon, Elizabeth Westbury, and staff liaison Jacque Curtin.
