South Carolina’s 2021 legislative session is here. Important debate and decisions on tax legislation will be underway at the State House. That means SCACPA’s “The View from the Dome” blog posts once again are here to keep members up-to-date on developments.
This valuable Member Benefit is produced in conjunction with our lobbying partners at Copper Dome Strategies. “The View from the Dome” is one more way that shows SCACPA is the only organization that looks out for the interests of CPAs and the accounting profession in South Carolina.
The first session of the 124rd General Assembly convened Tuesday, Jan. 12, and it is the first year of our two-year legislative session. Let “The View from the Dome” be your weekly guide every Friday.
We know many of you will have little time with Tax Season to seek out legislative news that will be important to you. But “The View from the Dome” is an important part of SCACPA Advocacy that’s there when you need it.
Legislation to conform South Carolina’s tax code to the federal IRS code will once again be required. The potential sale of state-owned utility Santee Cooper will again be front and center for debate.
Get started with our 2021 Legislative Session “Pre-View from the Dome” and a review of pre-filed tax legislation of interest.
Look for “The View from the Dome” when you’re ready for the latest development from the State House, brought to you by SCACAP’s award-winning communications team all the way through the Sine Die adjournment scheduled for May 14.
